"It's on the internet so, it must be true. "

‎"It's on the internet so, it must be true. "

It's this kind of thinking that promotes ignorance. Ignorance does not protect you from anything. All it does is make you complacent and compliant with stupidity.

Before you go and post that link about the new threat that's facing our freedom, our wholesome lifestyle, our 'merica, think about it. Do some research. The internet is a slough of misinformation. If there is some basis in truth, then filter out the lies before you post. Verify that what you have read is a fact. Otherwise you're just promoting the mental pollution that is rife in this digital age.

You think you're a leader by "informing" us but you're a sheep. And, your shepherd is a fear mongering Luddite who's likely a step away from senility.

You have a mind. Most would assume so at least. So, use it. Investigate. Discern. Discriminate. Ascertain. Verify.

Promoting hoaxes benefits no one.

NItrogen

Nitrogen seems to be the new thing. You get your tires filled with Nitrogen. This is supposed to keep the tire pressure longer. If you go get your oil changed at a quick lube or other place they'll ask if you want your tire pressure checked, then they'll look and see the green cap on your valve. "Oh, I shouldn't check that. It's filled with Nitrogen. We only have air."  Hmmmmmmm.

So now gas stations are saying: Nitrogen "enriched" gasoline will keep your engine clean and running smoothly. Nitrogen enriched!

Let's think about this. Where do they get the nitrogen? In fact what is the richest resource of freely available nitrogen available to man? Here's a pie chart to help us out.

Alright so what is that chart all about anyway? Well, if it isn't too obvious, that is the chemical composition of........wait for it.......air. So, if you want nitrogen in your tires, use air! Brilliant!

When they "enrich" their gasoline with nitrogen.....they're pumping it full of air. Nice. So not only are you paying more for your gasoline, you're getting less of it.

Now I'm sure that there is "science" to back all their claims but there was science a few years ago claiming that eggs are healthy. Then recently they claimed that eggs are not healthy. No! No! Eggs can kill you. Yes, even one egg a day can put you at risk.

The same with those "oxy" chemicals. Yes they infuse your detergent with oxygen? What is the most abundant source of oxygen other than air? Why that would be the chemical H2O. Water! So what you're telling me that by using water, you can clean almost anything? What a revelation!

What gets me the most about this type of hype is not just that they think that we are stupid enough to fall for it, it's the fact that most people ARE stupid enough to fall for it. And, the fact is that even if we were to complain, it would result in nothing. Do you think any group of people could afford the lawyers it would take to go against a mega corporation like...(insert name of any corporation here)...?

No one is getting hurt by it other than in their pocket books and because there is no other source for some of these things(ie: we don't have a back yard refinery), the likelyhood that a judge would take this seriously is nonexistent.

All we can do is NOT buy into the hype. But, when every other company out there starts to follow suit, what do you do?

This world is a mess of corruption and if you are not in it, you're suffering because of it. Society needs a fresh start. It'll come one day and it may not be in the form that you would expect. One day we will be stewards of this planet once again instead of a cancer feeding off of it.

The Little Guy Feeds YOU!

I went to Tom Lee Music in Vancouver. Just browsing. Window shopping really. I stumbled upon the Korg Nano Pad 2. This is a very small usb powered trigger. It has 16 pads on it and one large touch pad which you can use to affect two midi control options. $59. Dirt cheap, so I bought it.

I realize this is a very low budget option. It took me a little while just to get my OS to recognize it. In fact it took some registry editing. That's a little extreme if you ask me. I mean totally ridiculous! I shouldn't have to go into my registry just to get a driver to install properly. That was the solution that was posted in their forums.

Now, I'm no genius but I would think that it doesn't take a whole lot of work to get USB drivers working properly. Or, maybe I'm delusional. I don't know. I know that I've had products from Behringer.........BEHRINGER that have better support than this. That has got to be a stain on your reputation.

On top of that I tried to authorize the free software bundle. So, I carefully follow the instructions. I download Kontrol Editor, install it and run it. Lo and behold! It doesn't even recognize the Nano Pad 2. Should I be surprised? Well, I think so since the Kontrol Editor is supposed to be specifically for the Nano series. In fact I manually set the input and output and I get this error: "unsupported midi device". What? The device that this software was created for is unsupported?  What kind of glue are these people smoking?

You're probably thinking that I'm the only one who has these issues. No. Not at all. In fact, go to their user forums and you find that anyone who has driver issues is entirely ignored. Seriously! The only people responding to their post are themselves trying to bump up their post in the hopes that someone will acknowledge them.

Check out Korg User Forums HERE.

I do understand that these are budget products but if you don't support them, who will want them? Get your head out of that stink hole!
